Alex Kate has released the second single from her upcoming third EP. “Not A Clue” is the follow-up to “Sober.” “Sober” received praise from BBC Radio Leicester, BBC Introducing Suffolk, and other radio stations.
Alex Kate achieved what many up-and-coming UK artists yearn for, being selected for Glastonbury’s emerging talent competition. Alex was selected by the judge, At The Barrier, and they had this to say about her submission “Summer Wagon.”

Alex Kate and the story behind “Not A Clue”
Alex isn’t shy about sharing her relationships and life with her followers online. She shared that this song was based on a particular friend that she had spent a lot of time with. One thing she could not figure out is if she liked him romantically or platonically. After a gig one night, Alex was feeling torn and took a walk in Hyde Park. That is where she penned the song from beginning to end. She used a trick a lot of artists are doing now, singing into her phone in voice notes.
To get this song out in the world, she teamed up with Daniel Newcombe. They worked on “Sober” together and together they made magic.

What is next?
The video for “Not A Clue” will be coming soon. Alex Kate filmed in Cape Town on Noordhoek Beach and an apartment in Muizenberg. Aiden Tobias, a Cape Town-based fashion photographer shot the cover art. The easiest part for Alex was when she got to cast someone to play her boyfriend.

Alex has amassed quite the following on TikTok. One of her most notable video series is when she does the three-word song challenge. Her community will give her 3 words that Alex will have to make a song out of. But, her behind-the-scenes videos have gone viral. Alex takes us along on a day in the life of a professional musician. Her personality shines through and it is no wonder she went viral with these.
