If you were an aspiring rebellious teenager in the 2000s, you’re pretty familiar with the alternative pop-rock / pop-punk scene. One of the original bands deemed ‘popular and unproblematic‘ was Boys Like Girls. During the high of their career, the band has released several commercially successful hits – such as The Great Escape, Thunder or Love Drunk – before taking their long ‘indefinite hiatus’ in 2013.

After their last year’s reunion performance at When We Were Young festival, fans were quick to speculate, the band just finally might be getting back together for good. Well, looks like 2023 will go down in history as ‘the year of comebacks‘ cause BLG is officially giving fans what they want – their first new music in over a decade.

Na-na-na, now you’re speakin’ my language

Language” is a feel-good dance party with fast paced guitar riffs, catchy harmonies and sing-along choruses. The song pays homage to their signature sound, a blend of dance elements and pop-rock instrumentation.

The song touches the subjects of unspoken communication within the realm of attraction. But does anyone truly care about lyrics if the song is designated to want you let loose and dance your day/night away?

We say what we say, we live how we live

With the release of “Language” Boys Like Girls needs YOU to know they’re BACK and they’re still a prominent act in the genre. But this time even better.

Language is now available for streaming worldwide.
