Carson Ferris is learning that following your dreams isn’t as easy as you think. The Utah-based teen is realizing that you have to make sacrifices on his rise to stardom. Finding the balance between working on your dreams, and still being a teenager is the inspiration behind Carson’s latest single, “Speed Limit.”

“Speed Limit is very personal in a lot of ways. I don’t always feel this way, but sometimes I do get overwhelmed trying to make it as a musician who also happens to be a kid.” – Carson Ferris

Carson Ferris is just getting started

At the young age of 13, he has already been working on his musical career for half his life. The electric guitar was his instrument of choice at the age of 6. Then, he started performing with rock bands and other students at Dave Wilbur’s Rock Lab in Orem. He was also a part of the acclaimed One Voice Children’s Choir.

When the world shut down during the pandemic, Carson didn’t stop. He began recording music and released “Can’t Be Without You” featuring Trinidad Cardona in October 2021. He made the tough choice to do an all-online school program to give him the time to dedicate himself to his dream.

“Speed Limit” is the 2nd of many singles by Carson Ferris

Released on March 3rd, the inspiration song features a strong rhythmic guitar that makes way for the full production when the chorus begins. The beat and melody are extremely catchy and had me tapping my foot listening. Carson’s vocals really come through strong during the chorus.

You can instantly sense his musical inspiration with this song. A little Jonas Brothers and Ed Sheeran mixed with the production of OneRepublic.

Overall, Carson Ferris has a great career ahead of him. This song is only the tip of the iceberg for him.
