Kelly Clarkson and P!NK Duet On the IHeartRadio Music Awards

Kelly Clarkson and P!nkWhat do you do when you need two pop stars who released a less-than-thrilling album last month and the other is releasing another album “soon”, but neither of them has a current relevant song? You obviously duet a ten-and-a-half-year-old song from one of their albums!!

Last night, P!NK was honored at the awards with a tribute from Pat Benatar, Neil Giraldo, and our very own Kelly Clarkson! During Kelly’s portion of the tribute you hear Kelly singing the familiar lines of P!NK’s 2013 hit ‘Just Give Me A Reason’ (originally recorded with FUN. frontman Nate Ruess) and out of left field P!NK joins in on the celebration (of her self?) and sings Nate’s part of the vocals.

We were living for it, we were gobsmacked, we were shooteth, we were thrown for a loop. So many emotions were evoked in this performance. First of all PAT BENATAR, KELLY BRIANNE CLARKSON!!!! AND THEN P!NK JOINED IN ON HER OWN TRIBUE? What even is the world of pop these days?

This isn’t the first time P!NK and Kelly have sung together. As recently as last month the duo appeared on Kelly’s show and did series of interviews and song performances together. This interview was seperated into three parts and they include, “Who Knew” (from her 2006 album “I’m Not Dead”), “Please Don’t Leave Me” (from 2009’s “Funhouse” album), “Trustfall” (from her recent album of the same name), All I Know So Far (from her recent live All I Know So Far)

We highly recommend checking out the performance because it is a fantastic performance. To follow up on that performance I’d recommend dusting off those Kelly Clarkson records in preparation for ‘Chemistry’ as she is about to bury me in tears!

BRING IT ALL MS CLARKSON!
