Nicki Minaj has announced that she will drop her new album “Pink Friday 2” this year. It’s the follow up to 2018’s “Queen”. Since then, Nicki has been releasing stand alone singles and features with artists like Kim Petras and even makes an appearance on The Barbie Soundtrack. However the “Anaconda” rapper is ready to please the Barbz with an official new era. She first announced the project in early June, saying the album would be released in October. But, today she took to Instagram to announce a delay; it will now be out November 17 instead.
Nicki told fans;
“Trust me, it’ll be WELL WORTH THE WAIT”
She also spilled more details to make up for the delay. The album is titled “Pink Friday 2” and the cover art will be revealed soon, followed by a 2024 tour announcement.
She also went on to say;
“I love you guys so much. I am so grateful for the years of support & love you guys have given me. At times maybe I didn’t even deserve all that you have poured into me. Nonetheless you. will. love. this. album.”
Personally, Im not a fan of artists announcing projects months in advance because first, I’m a very impatient guy. Secondly, delays like these are always bound to happen which can lead to many disappointments and meltdowns. I prefer a proper announcement closer to the release when everything is ready. But, I can’t help but to be excited if this serves as the sequel to the perfect “Pink Friday”. That album was one of her most pop/radio friendly records and I am here for her channeling that vibe again. Gimme Super Bass 2.0 please, and tons of pink wigs!
