Follow Paige Keiner
Paige Keiner has released her 3rd single off her upcoming six-song EP. “Crying in the Drive-Thru” was released on February 24th. Recently it has gained steam on platforms like YouTube and TikTok. Paige is a rising pop/rock artist based in Nashville. Paige took her life experience of a devastating breakup and turned it into the new breakup anthem of 2023.
When asked how she came up with the song, Paige Keiner said, “This song was inspired by a time when I cried in a McDonald’s drive-thru while I was going through a breakup. It felt super embarrassing at the moment, but I ended up writing a really fun and upbeat song about it. I hope it can help remind listeners that it’s okay to have experiences like that and that when enough time goes by you can usually find a way to look back and laugh about it.”
Who is Paige Keiner?
Paige grew up in Orlando, Florida, and was heavily influenced by the music her dad played her on vinyl. But, she was also influenced by the pop she heard on the radio.
Her musical taste formed and she became a fan and student of artists like; Michelle Branch, Avril Lavigne, Hilary Duff, Paramore, The Killers, and the Goo Goo Dolls.
She honed her sound by focusing on developing catchy melodies, relatable lyrics, and the art of vulnerable storytelling.
Gaining Notoriety
Since starting out, Paige has worked with many songwriting greats in Nashville. These include; four-time Grammy nominee and multiple Dove Award winner Margaret Becker, Paul Jefferson (Aaron Tippin, Keith Urban), Jonathan Crone, Tom Michael, Britton Cameron (Jon Pardi, Don Williams, Steel Magnolia), and Doug Kahan (Trick Pony, Clay Walker, Jon Pardi). She must have learned a lot from them, because her debut album, “Throne” was considered for a 2015 Grammy nomination.
Most notably, Paige won silver medals for new artist and female vocalist in 2015 at the Global Music Awards. In 2016 she was a finalist at the John Lennon Songwriting Competition for her single “Except for You.” Finally, she won the Grand Prize in the Latin Category in 2020 at the John Lennon Songwriting Competition with her single, “Sip (Latin Remix).”
Keep the hits coming, Paige!
“Crying in the Drive-Thru” is an upbeat song about a hard time. I’m sure like Paige (and me) everyone has gone through those tough and sometimes embarrassing moments. But, the way she made the situation a breakup anthem. Kudos girl! Keep those songs coming!
