Peyton McMahon got his start in the entertainment industry by posting covers on YouTube. These videos got him in front of some of the most known singers in the world. OneRepublic, James Bay, and Gavin DeGraw, to Shakira and Kelly Clarkson, Peyton gained the attention of amazing musicians. Kelly invited him to perform at her Piece By Piece Tour. He sang “I Don’t Want To Be” by Gavin DeGraw and blew everyone away, including Kelly.

Peyton has continued to grow his following. Currently, he has 13K + subscribers on his YouTube channel. Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Peyton was recently selected to be part of the top 12 aspiring singers in the Billboard & Samsung NXT artist competition.

Peyton McMahon releases new single “No Control”

Produced by Harper James, this vulnerable single is an exploration of what living with anxiety is like. We visit the internal thoughts of an overthinker (hello, it’s me) and discover how there is a never-ending cycle of thoughts, fears, and decisions.

Peyton McMahon is not just a beautiful singer… with this song, he has proven his talent in songwriting.

“I wrote “No Control” about the anxiety I’ve struggled with since I was a kid. Whenever I’m in situations where I don’t have control over the outcome, or I’m trying to make a big decision, I can sometimes overthink and worry to the extreme. It’s frustrating and makes things harder than they need to be, and it can sometimes feel like an endless cycle, so I wrote this song to vent about it. I worked on it remotely with Harper James on the production, and I’m super proud of how it came out,” he explains.

Peyton McMahon has powerful and well-suited vocals for the type of music he creates. By taking his personal yet relatable lyrics, and mixing that with his musicianship, he has all the right ingredients for a hit record.

Now that he is on our radar, we will continue to follow his career. Head over and take a look at his TikTok. The covers posted there made me an instant fan (TSwift and 1D fans will get it).

“No Control” is available now on all major streaming platforms. You can listen to it below, as well.
