Olly Love has released their latest single, “PITSTOP BABY” along with an insane official music video and Ear Worms is pleased to share the world premiere with you guys.
If you find yourself familiar with Olly, you may know him as the piano-man extraordinaire Olly Hite. Olly Love is a new persona; and a slew of new singles are coming our way. For now? PITSTOP BABY. The track is theatrical, to say the least. It sounds like a song that you’d hear while watching “Grease” or any other classic musical; it’s infectious, fast and beyond catchy. This song is fun, plain and simple. There doesn’t seem to be any agenda beyond dudes just having a great time, which is quite refreshing.

Now, for the video. It is, in my opinion, one of the best independent video that has been dropped this year. Directed by Cinematographer, Mark Hamilton (who has been apart of BAFTA nominated projects while also receiving a Royal Television Society Award), the video is a fully choreographed piece that takes you through a digital Pitstop. My brain can’t even fathom how talented you have to be to be able to see the finished project clear enough in your head to be able to direct someone to hit everything so perfectly. Kudos to the team.
The 3D effects do steal the show, though. Chris Cousins is the talented artist responsible for what we see in this video; it’s clear that he is beyond talented at what he does. Olly Love described him as “the Willy Wonka of the graphic world.” We couldn’t agree more.
